SLX Rubber Durometer Test Stand

Function

The durometer test stand is R&D for Shore A, C, and D Durometer. The test stand construction include operating handle, adjusted glass stage, die poise, clip beam of durometer, and carrick column. Use it will be more accurately to test hardness of rubber or plastic. It is a necessary equipment for durometer.

Operation:

Fix the durometer on the test stand; drive the handle. Under the weight of die poise, durometer’s the indenter foot on bottom of press head touch the surface of glass sta ge completely. The value of durometer is 100+/-0.5 HA. If the value is not 100+/-0.5 HA, please adjust two vernier knobs still the value is 100+/-0.5 HA. Then place the test sample on glass stage; drive handle; Under the weight of die poise, durometer’s the indenter foot on bottom of press head touch with the test sample
completely. At this time, the value is showed on durometer is the Shore hardness of the test sample.
If you use D type durometer, when you adjust the parallelism, please do not press the tip on glass stage directly. That will damage glass stage. Please place a piece of even glass board on the glass stage before you adjust the parallelism.
